Tesla’s Superchargers can recharge EVs to 80% in 20 to 40 minutes. Honda is working on high-capacity batteries capable of 15-minute charging with a 240 km range for release in 2022 models. This works out to 0.05 public charging outlets per ZEV, one of the lowest ratios in the country. Automakers are reducing charging times.
