EVE will serve as a “technology partner,” and “contribute its industry-leading battery cell design and manufacturing expertise to the future cell manufacturing plant.” The JV announced plans to open its new battery plant in Marshall County, Mississippi. The 21-gigawatt hour (GWh) factory is expected to begin producing battery cells in 2027.

Less-than-truckload (LTL) carrier FedEx Freight has purchased more than 100 Class 8 CNG tractors from Paccar units Kenworth and Peterbilt, and has installed a CNG fueling station to serve the new CNG fleet at its Oklahoma City Service Center. Also on site is a “time fill” station which has six zones and 18 hoses.
