There’s definitely more work to do to prepare a more comfortable place to drive electric. Most states fell in between, offering a variety of purchase or electricity rate incentives. Incentives had a similar spread. In contrast, Kentucky, West Virginia, North Dakota and Kansas had no incentives.

The leaders of the Southern Oregon Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Association (SOHEVA) do not rest on their laurels when it comes to convincing the public to drive electric. Along the way, SOHEVA has been very involved in sustainability policy in the Southern Oregon area.

I purchased the kit as a no-gasoline commuter car solution. The old one sold nicely.

Sadly, we weren’t able to test whether the new 500e retains the entertaining and delightful handling of its predecessor, the 2013-2019 500e, which was sold only in California and Oregon. It was hard to hear even with the windows open (driving next to a solid concrete wall helps reflect it back), but it’s definitely there.
