In addition to financial issues, such as where incentives are available and how much driving electric will save you compared to filling up with gasoline, the deciding factor for ranking the states was the density of available public charging. There’s definitely more work to do to prepare a more comfortable place to drive electric.

This included the folks at the Oregon Electric Vehicles Association, the motor control engineers at my work (HP), the communities at 914world.com, the other 914 EV conversion folks (Thanks to Randy, Ross, Roger, Matt, Paul, and many more.) The cost of the kit is roughly equivalent to eight years of gasoline. The old one sold nicely.
