The motor is a 4 kW brush DC motor. The Cellestial team thinks that the battery has enough juice to do 1.5 The torque delivery is superb, thanks to the DC motor. Going back to my engineering college days, I remember that locomotives would use DC series motors back then - for the amazing starting torque that they had.

The car is definitely in the Tesla league. It has an interesting gizmo where the 800 V DC gets converted to 230 V AC – and can be accessed via a normal 15 A plug. kWh of juice. I am told that it can do a DC charge at 240 kW! Vehicle to Load feature of the KIA EV6 - charging the OLA scooter 150 kW DC Fast charging!

This has definitely been an interesting week. The link-10 is pretty good at measuring state-of-charge with Peukert compensation, so I felt good about knowing how much juice I had left. I woke up and found that the 1 amp fuse had blown on the 7watt DC-DC converter for the link-10. Things seemed to go fine on Monday.

We shall definitely visit your hotel again. Jay’s first EV was the DC motor Reva, which he bought way back in the early 2000s. But it is a spacious car - and I would definitely pay more money than I would pay for an Innova hire. But the Tigor was definitely hungry - the SoC was down to 14%. Gracias, Senor.

A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. So is the management in Washinton DC. Hybrids are a proven winner, but a series-hybrid (range extended EV), such as the Volt takes things to a much higher level with existing and "mostly" affordable tech.
