My plan is to convert this ride into an EV. I am leaning towards a golf cart or forklift motor. She love to hunt, and fish, but as her decease has progressed it has become increasingly more difficult for her to take part in these activities. Golf cart motor ? Motor was lost long ago. 36/48 volt.

One of the other 914 kit converters questioned why the accessory battery couldn't stay in the original tray, but I decided to remove it anyway and have the accessory battery up in the front trunk near the DC/DC converter. I saved the latch cable tube and latch mechanism to give to Craig at camp914 as parts for someone else.

Unless the EV was a golf cart, you’ll have to reconfigure the cells to deliver 48 V nominal, so don’t count on using the original BMS (which probably won’t work, anyway, without a lot of code-hacking) and you’ll still be taking the risk that the battery was abused so much that it has no real usable capacity left.

Out in the desert as part of Burning Man , our encampment, Snow Koan Solar, is setting up a solar photovoltaic EV Charging Station (at 7:30 and Desert) for electric scooters, golf carts, sofas and barstools. A few items before I head out to Black Rock City for two weeks. Now the relationship with EVs may be going further still.
