Mitsubishi is bringing the plug-in hybrid crossover Outlander (the best-selling PHEV in Europe) to the US. The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) will arrive in dealerships in December 2017 with an MSRP of $34,595. It is also the only PHEV with DC Fast Charging capability (CHAdeMO).

The 2022 Ford Escape Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) is powered by a 2.5-liter The Environmental Protection Agency, EPA , rates fuel economy at 40 highway when running in gasoline mode only. That number jumps to 105 MPGe, or miles per gallon equivalent, when combining electricity and gasoline. No gasoline used.

Coulomb Technologies and Aker Wade Power Technologies have agreed to deploy Level III networked fast charging stations for electric vehicles worldwide. The Level III charging stations will be capable of fully charging battery electric vehicles in less than one hour. This is the tipping point for electric vehicles.

Smart owners will quickly learn that, by plugging-in daily, they will reap the benefits of electric driving. The Prius Prime is not compatible with DC fast-charging.
