Honda targeting 100% BEV & FCEV sales in N America by 2040; new e:Architecture EVs coming in second half of this decade

Honda last week announced key targets for sales of electrified vehicles in North America, with a plan to make battery-electric and fuel cell electric vehicles (BEVs and FCEVs) to represent 100% of its vehicle sales by 2040, progressing from sales of 40% by 2030 and 80% by 2035. Honda cuts US lease price for Fit EV to $259/mo

In the US, Honda has cut the lease price for the Fit EV in the US to $259 a month beginning 1 June, down from $389 a month. The new three-year lease includes no down payment, unlimited mileage, routine maintenance, collision coverage and 240 volt EV home charging station equipment (not including installation) from Leviton.

DOE releases three reports showing strong growth in US fuel cell and hydrogen market

In the stationary market, Bloom Energy announced that it was doubling the number of Bloom Energy Server installations and company revenue every six months. Several major automakers, including Honda, Toyota, and Hyundai, are committed to producing commercial quantities in the 2015-2017 timeframe and reaffirmed those commitments in 2012.
