Although the powertrains remain the same, the new Sonata Hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid feature a comprehensive exterior and interior redesign, safety, suspension and new and improved infotainment and connectivity features. The transmission uses an electric oil pump, which helps improve efficiency.

Having enough electric charge to last a 5-15 minute in silence in a traffic jam. Power steering is electric and as a result we don’t need to check the power steering oil level as there isn’t any. During reversing, the Prius is powered only by the electric motor. The gasoline engine only runs in reversing to power the batteries.

The BZ4X will be sold throughout the world, but in America it will be first offered (April 2022) in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington.

The engine also uses an electrically driven air conditioning compressor and water pump to reduce mechanical losses. L/100km equivalent and 4.8 Hybrid transaxle.
