Since I was attending the Detroit Auto Show, I could replicate my UK trip for comparison. My goal was to head north to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, then west to Fargo, ND, and back to Detroit via Iowa. In 1955, the local dairy switched from horses to electric milk floats. Even at that young age, John was impressed.
