I get it – sound deadening equals fuel-economy killing weight. suite of driver’s aids was standard and included pre-collision assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and safe exit assist. Fuel economy is listed at 52 mpg across the board for city/highway/combined. And there are worse offenders out there.

On March 20, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the final vehicle standards for cars, pickup trucks, and SUVs. EPA standards aren’t new. There are EPA vehicle standards in place right now. EPA has been regulating vehicle pollution for over 50 years.

Vehicles also had to complete emissions, efficiency, and range events in which they had to achieve at least two-thirds the minimum fuel economy and range requirements. For fuel economy, this translates to at least 67 MPGe, or two-thirds of the 100 MPGe target for both vehicle classes.
