Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced that 34 cleaner energy transportation projects will receive $8,489,844 in Driving PA Forward grants and rebates. In this second set of awards, the following recipients will receive grants and rebates: Statewide. Multi-county. Allegheny County. Giant Eagle, Inc.: Bedford County. Bucks County.

These vehicles will be deployed on bus routes in South Philadelphia, and an associated workforce development program will further contribute to the project's economic impact. The Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) will receive $2,585,075 toward the purchase of 25 zero-emission all-electric buses and related equipment.

This fully integrated distributed energy system will provide a turnkey solar solution to support a Net-Zero Home Energy demonstration at the Philadelphia Navy Yard’s Clean Energy Innovation Hub. The Energy Innovation Hub will include a live demonstration of a microgrid with a 2,700 square foot net-zero energy home.

The Pennsylvania Alternative Fuels Incentive Grant (AFIG) program has awarded Axion Power International, Inc. The $800,000 ($799,932) first-year grant, which was announced by Governor Edward Rendell on 29 January, is part of the State’s overall effort to invest in businesses that are creating clean energy and biofuels technologies.

A US patent was granted to ARA in 2010 on the CH process. ARA and Chevron Lummus Global are currently engineering the first commercial-scale Biofuels ISOCONVERSION refinery for its licensee, UrbanX Renewables Group. The technology is proven in mature pilot systems. The SDTS is an asset of NSWC PHD.
