Car-sharing operator Zipcar and the Westminster City Council in London have launched a new car sharing club fleet that will initially include 20 hybrid vehicles and will offer members access to the country’s first all-electric car club vehicle, a Citroen c1.

In a news conference at the Japan National Press Club on Friday, Toyota Motor President Akio Toyoda said that the company plans to begin mass production of electric vehicles in the US in 2012, followed by US production of fuel cell vehicles in 2015. This is not an either-or choice between hybrids and electric cars.
