My wife’s boss gave me a job as a magazine editor for the American Portrait Society in 1981, and I became known in the figurative art world which was a blast while it lasted. My clients included HP, Universal Pictures, Washington Mutual, Sony, 20th Century Fox, Tyco Toys, Tangle Toys, Playmates Toys and others who kept me busy year round.

The vision is fuelled by the fear of climate change and the need to find green alternatives to dirty coal, unpopular nuclear power and unreliable gas imports from Russia. It’s the only way to save the planet from climate change. Close down all the car companies. Close down all the companies making weapons.

We also found magazines ( Utne Reader anyone?) I pulled an old issue of Sierra (the magazine of the Sierra Club) from July/August 1997. We also made regular trips to Washington DC to lobby for support for the National Parks at the House, Senate, and NGO levels and we learned that we could meet with anyone we gave money to.
