Honda’s 2015 Civic Hybrid and Civic Natural Gas vehicles are joining the already released 2015 Civic Sedan, Civic Coupe and Civic Si in showrooms in the US. The 2015 Civic Hybrid launches at Honda dealers nationwide on November 5 with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) starting at $24,735.

For the full calendar year, Ford hybrid sales totaled 33,502, a new record and up 72% versus a year ago. Honda reported December hybrid sales of 2,110 units, a 103.5% of all Civic sales.

Toyota has had a battery recycling program since 1998 and even offers dealers a $200 bounty to ensure batteries arent just thrown away (described at end of linked document). Engineers note: hybrids need "power batteries," PHEVs need "energy batteries.") What about battery safety?
