These numbers are a bit lower than competitor trucks, but the trade-off is better fuel economy in exchange for less payload and towing. Fuel economy for the 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel is. Furthermore, changing the battery pack on say a Toyota Prius often costs a fortune, at least in most European countries, so such cars better be VERY cheap, but they’re not. But that cost in a built as an EV is much less than an ICE’s costs by about 1/2.
