There’s no mention of the rumored silicon-anode battery chemistry that Mercedes had been keen to introduce to speed charging times. With a 200-kw maximum charging rate, it could take just over a half-hour to fast-charge it to 80%, based on its European specs. The electric G-Class arrives at dealers late this year.
