The Alliance for Climate Protection, Al Gore's group, has taken another step toward promoting plug-in cars (all electric cars and plug-in hybrids) with its RePower America campaign. Let's hope Al Gore's been saying as much to President Obama (doesn't that sound great!).

As usual I learned about this latest from Joe Romm’s Climate Progress, the first web site I read every morning. But you would be wrong. There is no debate.

Like the new emissions standards for passenger cars recently confirmed, these rules do not mandate EVs, but do set much tougher emissions targets that will likely lead to more EV sales. The EPA last week announced stricter emissions standards for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, such as trucks and buses, for model years 2027 to 2032.
