Euro 6 regs in full effect; ACEA launches clean diesel campaign in support of technology-neutral policies

New car models have complied with Euro 6 since September 2014, and as of today all new cars sold must meet this standard. Over the last 15 years, NO x limits for diesel car engines have been reduced by 84%, and particulates (PM) by 90%.

US GSA to Accelerate Purchase of About 17,600 New Fuel-Efficient Vehicles Including 2,500 Hybrids

All purchases will be made from manufacturers with an existing contract with the GSA, which are General Motors, Ford and Chrysler. Manufacturers sign up for scrappage scheme

MG made its participation official yesterday stating that it would match the £1,000 from the Government to give new car buyers a £2,000 reduction on a brand new MG TF. The scrappage incentive, which applies to buyers trading in a 10-year-old car for a new model, will apply to all vehicles in the Volkswagen range.
