A new 38 port electric truck charging depot and maintenance hub is coming online to service Southern California’s ports and logistics centers, along with 50 new electric trucks from Volvo and Daimler. And so, deploying electric trucks here is a huge priority for California government.

Arc is a very new company – it was founded in 2021 in Los Angeles, and is targeting the luxury boat market with high-powered electric boats.

California-based WattEV is building a network of charging hubs designed for electric trucks, incorporating solar generation, battery storage and active energy management. Our entire system is packaged with California-based energy management specialist Stem. These megawatt charging sites will be open to all fleet operators.

This is one of Mercedes’ first steps towards its goal to lead in electric vans, targeting 20% of its business being EV by 2026 and 50% by 2030 (which is nevertheless significantly behind California and the US EPA’s targets , at 68% and 60% respectively). The car said we got 2.0 miles per kWh, but other journalists got up to 2.4 miles per kWh.
