Honda revealed the upcoming fuel-cell version of its Honda CR-V and, once again, it will only be available by lease in California. Ineos Fusilier The off-road maker Ineos announced its first fully electric vehicle, the Fusilier electric SUV. Currently, though, there are no plans to bring it or the brand to the U.S.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. The 2021 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV battery capacity increased from 12.0 Rivian is set to deliver it’s long-awaited all-electric SUV and pickup truck this year. On January 28 GM announced that it plans (aspires) to exclusively offer electric vehicles by 2035, ending production of its cars, trucks and SUVs with diesel- and gasoline-powered engines. In GM teaser videos we saw hints of future electric GMC and Chevrolet pickups and what clearly looks like a Camaro.

I have driven several Chevrolet and GMC vehicles with the wonderful Duramax turbodiesel engine, so expectations were high for a luxury week behind the wheel. GM is bringing back the Hummer brand as an EV within the GMC brand. In 1989, GM was selling small cars with a variety of origins, including the slightly revised Toyota Corollas (branded as the Chevrolet Nova) that were assembled in a joint Toyota-GM plant in Fremont, California (now home to Tesla). I’m hoping for the latter.

BMW, Mercedes, and Volkswagen have all not shipped certain electric models to the US and Toyota is shipping the majority of their RAV4 Prime PHEVs to Europe and Asia. In higher EV-adopting areas of the US such as many parts of California, there tends to be an adequate number of EV charging stations – especially if you drive a Tesla.
