Central California EVA chapter gets creative in promoting ride-and-drive. Larger signs were printed, too, volunteers from a local car club posting them at street corners around Manteca. In addition to securing cars from private owners and the local Audi, BMW, Mercedes, and Tesla dealerships, a used EV dealer was also engaged.

It also spreads doubt about the enviro bona fides of plug-ins. Third-party and DIY converters can't muck with every system on a car.

I started to read up on the Prius and started looking at cars to buy in a week’s time, so the paperwork would be ready for my wife to use the car from the following week. I was nervous as this was the first time that I was buying a car, so the experience was new to me. He was surprised!

In 226 miles of mostly freeway driving through Southern California we averaged 23.8 Pickups can suffer from a bouncing rear when the bed is empty, but not so in the Santa Cruz where empty or loaded, the ride is stable and car-like.
