The all-new Buick LaCrosse Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) made its global debut at the 2016 Buick Day event in Shanghai, where the award-winning Buick Avista concept was also shown for the first time in China. Both models will be appearing on the Buick stand at Auto China 2016 in Beijing, which begins on 25 April.

The 8 kWh battery pack for the new 2011 Buick PHEV crossover vehicle is prepared for testing at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren, Michigan. General Motors will debut its two-mode plug-in hybrid technology—originally intended to appear first in a Saturn VUE, prior to that brand’s sale—in a new Buick crossover vehicle in 2011.

Fletcher is responsible for the Extended Range Electric Vehicle propulsion system in the Chevrolet Volt as well as the propulsion systems in GM’s upcoming line-up of Plug-In Hybrid Elecrtic Vehicles. As she outlined it: eAssist provides a average 25% fuel economy improvement over a traditional internal combustion engine vehicle.

Its two mainstream brands, Buick and Chevrolet, will account for nearly half. Buick will introduce about 12 new and upgraded products. From Chevrolet will come 15 new models and upgrades, which will range from affordable small cars to midsize sedans. The program will be held in Jiading, an international EV pilot site.
