Looking for Solutions for Juice for your Electric Car Many people love the environmental appeal of electric vehicles (EVs). Short-term solutions include allowing people to book charging slots in advance or verify a charging point’s functionality. However, they are less excited about the possibility of finding charging points.

That’s not the EV I booked … Who knew? I pre-booked months in advance. On Europcar’s French website it lists its electric fleet. I note my booking said: Hyundai Kona Electric or similar compact SUV. Buzz on the Avis fleet. .” If you read no further, heed this advice. Which is the car we got.

Therefore, until we get quick-charge batteries -- based on new breakthroughs, Ill take a WAG and estimate that we will have real 5-minute quick-charge batteries in perhaps 10 years -- we are likely to get our juice mostly from our home chargers. Vancouvers trolley bus fleet operates at 600 volts and god knows how many amps.
