BMW has announced it is expanding its ChargeForward incentive program to drivers of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles living in the contiguous United States. In a simultaneous—and video linked—unveil in New York, London and Beijing, BMW introduced the production version of its i3 battery-electric vehicle on Monday. In this study, BMW focused on Rankine A (exhaust gas only) and Rankine B (exhaust gas and coolant). BMW is exploring two pathways for waste heat recovery in vehicles: one thermoelectric, the other thermodynamic. In the study presented, the BMW team restricted its evaluation to two basic single loop systems.

Nuclear waste is a problem much harder to solve than CO2, and dams have quite an impact in the environment.

The BMW i3s was likewise a quicker version of a city-focused EV, but it’s no longer produced. This means a 10-80 percent recharge will take only 25 minutes when plugged into a 150kW DC fast charger, or around 10 minutes longer if hooked up to one of the more common 50kW DC chargers. The suspension is well set up, too.

The logical opposition for the EQE SUV include the Audi Q8 e-tron , BMW iX and Lexus RZ450e. But there is a huge and wasteful gap between the upper section and the flat storage space below. The range claim between recharges is 446km on the WLTP cycle. For $2475 you can uprate to 22kW recharging.

To ignore this potential is wasteful and foolish. The pure electric vehicles, for reserve, must carry heavy and expensive batteries—which add expense as well as weight—and must have access to high-powered recharging stations [ 1 ]. It is wasteful and destructive to be burning this versatile molecule; we must stop.
