The BMW Group Leipzig plant is commissioning 70 more hydrogen-powered tugger trains (indoor tugs). As early as 2013, in a first research project in Leipzig, BMW tested eleven hydrogen-powered tractors and forklifts in test operation and identified important fields of action for the current connection project.

A number of startups showed off their porposals to retrofit the existing fleets of petroleum-fueled vehicles, giving some hope to Andy Grove’s ambitoious desire to create millions of plug-in conversions before the automakers deliver. But neither car, GM execs made clear, will appear for sale on a showroom floor for more that two years.

And while many of the legacy automakers – along with several states – have announced plans or “aspirations” to end production of ICE vehicles or ban their sale completely, the reality is we may not see a federal ban of ICE sales ever – or perhaps not before 2040.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. I really would love to get a 120D coupe BMW u cant beat 0-60 of 7.5 Theres a company in Guernsey (a UK island) which does conversions (the Mk1 shape), but I want a current shape model and a 60 mile range is just fine. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties.

i would like to see maybe Smith America build a conversion of their current cars, maybe have a retrofit model so you dont have to get rid of the trucks at all, just upgrade! lots of stops and starts so plenty of options for regen braking too.
