It might be in your neighborhood, but it's something that you will find along interstates or major travel routes. Older houses that haven't been upgraded sometimes only have 100-amp service, and to put in a 240-volt electric car charger, you really need to have 200 amp service. The last Chevrolet Volt had 53 miles of range.
