is hoping to launch the Volt in late 2010 with a price tag of about $40,000. So what I see is that even if GM could sell its Volt platform vehicles in 2010 and at HALF its expected pricing, it would only leave it in with a pack of at least 4 other major players and all selling hybrid models much cheaper than GM. I miss my EV1.

The battery is similar to the one selected for the Chevrolet Volt, a plug-in hybrid due out in November of 2010. The car will run on a lithium manganese oxide battery made by Advanced Lithium Power , based in Vancouver, BC.

According to Nissan, the company plans to introduce its upcoming electric car in Oregon in late 2010. April 10, 2009 10:09 am Link It amazes me that in the vast debate about electric cars world wide including here in Norway, no one ever mention the fact that the batteries in such cars need replacement in no more than five years.
