Construction has started on the first public hydrogen station in Belgium, to be operated by Air Liquide. As part of the SWARM project, the station has received funding from the European Fuel Cells and Hydrogen-Joint Undertaking, a private/public partnership in support of the development of hydrogen related applications.

Toyota Motor Europe (TME) Fuel Cell Business will supply and integrate fuel cell modules into a zero-emission train prototype as part of the FCH2RAIL project in Europe. Almost half of the railway lines in the European Union are electrified and enable local emission-free rail transport.

Transport for London is in the first group of UK customers for the Toyota Mirai fuel cell vehicle, together with private car service Greentomatocars and hydrogen energy system manufacturer ITM Power. It is fantastic that London will benefit from these new state-of-the-art hydrogen vehicles.

Toyota will launch the Mirai fuel cell vehicle in Sweden and Norway this summer, following other European countries that have introduced the Toyota Mirai in 2015 (UK, Germany and Denmark) or early 2016 (Belgium). In Sweden, hydrogen is locally produced 100% based on renewable energy, just as in Denmark.
