As part of a research project into e-mobility and Vehicle to Grid (V2G) charging in Slovakia, a Tritium Veefil-RT 50kW DC fast charger has been installed at the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. All the Veefil-RT chargers are positioned along the Belgium motorway system, linking the country’s major cities.

The Fast-E project, co-financed by the European Union and nine companies, has officially launched , with the objective of installing 241 fast-charging charging stations in Germany and 37 in Belgium. A sister project between the Czech Republic and Slovakia will add another 30 charging stations.

The EFTA Surveillance Authority is in charge of assessing State aid notified by Norway.

On 1 June, two members of Honda’s European Research & Development (R&D) team will set out on the journey from Aalst, Belgium. Fergal McGrath and Julian Warren, based at Honda’s European manufacturing facility in Swindon, UK, volunteered to take up the challenge and will be charged with driving an average 370 miles (595 km) each day.
