As part of a research project into e-mobility and Vehicle to Grid (V2G) charging in Slovakia, a Tritium Veefil-RT 50kW DC fast charger has been installed at the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava. All the Veefil-RT chargers are positioned along the Belgium motorway system, linking the country’s major cities.

The project, called “IPCEI Hy2Use” was jointly prepared and notified by thirteen Member States: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Spain and Sweden. The EFTA Surveillance Authority is in charge of assessing State aid notified by Norway.

On 1 June, two members of Honda’s European Research & Development (R&D) team will set out on the journey from Aalst, Belgium. Fergal McGrath and Julian Warren, based at Honda’s European manufacturing facility in Swindon, UK, volunteered to take up the challenge and will be charged with driving an average 370 miles (595 km) each day.
