The report which details measure designed to slash carbon emissions and eliminate oil use in Britain is set to be published in June, the BBC reports. It is also flex so that future biomass fuels such as cellulosic ethanol, methanol can be used (no oil). Also maintenance on these (no oil changes to speak of) etc will cost much less than an internal combution propelled car. I met with Preeti Gupta, a freelancer with the BBC. As Lithium prices increase, like oil, there would be more exploration. Since then he has stayed with the same battery. In extreme cold, there is a drop of about 5% in range. But age related range degradation has not been significant. As demand picks up, more sites will open up.

Oil is the alternative. Are we going to burn more oil, natural gas, or (gasp) coal to produce it? The most common methods involve burning natural gas, oil or coal to power the engines to generate electricity. Alternative is no longer an alternative. Renewable is the energy equations equalizer for the non Muslim world.
