Velozzi, a Los Angeles-based car designer and manufacturer, will integrate Capstone Turbine’s C65 and C30 microturbines into its electric supercar and a crossover vehicle, respectively. The Velozzi Supercar will be powered by a 770 hp (574 kW) AC-induction electric motor charged by an on-board Capstone C65 microturbine.

Opel will unveil the Flextreme GT/E mid-size concept car at the 80 th Geneva Motor Show (4-14 March). For typical journeys up to 60 km, energy is supplied by a 16 kWh T-shaped lithium-ion battery pack located under the floor and rear seat. Full recharge at a 230V outlet will take less than 3 hours. GM Europe staged the world premieres of the Opel Ampera, the European cousin of the Chevrolet Volt, and the Chevrolet Spark mini-car, at the Geneva Motor Show. The Ampera is an extended range electric vehicle based on the Voltec technology used in the Chevrolet Volt. Recharging uses a standard 230V outlet. Opel Ampera.
