UK-based Elektromotive has appointed The PluginCompany to install networks of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across Belgium and Luxembourg. Installations at other LeasePlan locations will follow in 2010, supporting the company’s commitment to increasing the availability of low- and zero-emissions vehicles within its European fleets.

The Mercedes-Benz eActros heavy-duty electric truck, with a range of up to 200 km, is in intensive use by customers in Germany and Switzerland as part of the eActros “innovation fleet”. eCitaro vehicles were also delivered to Luxembourg and Switzerland. The first hand-off to a customer was in 2018.

The launch of the Model Y Long Range RWD was widely praised by the electric vehicle community, several of whom asked if the electric vehicle maker would also be making the Model 3 Long Range RWD available for retail consumers. The vehicle is not offered in countries like the UK and the Netherlands as of writing.

Under the new Global Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Zero-Emission Medium- and Heavy-Duty Vehicles (ZE-MHDVs), Austria, Canada, Chile, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, Uruguay and Wales are setting an interim goal of 30% zero-emission new vehicle sales by 2030.

The Maxus EV80 and is available as a panel van and a chassis cab, providing practicality and extensive versatility demanded by fleet operators. It is available initially to fleets in France, Germany, Austria and Benelux, with other markets to follow soon. SAIC Mobility Europe was formally established in Luxembourg.

As part of its e-mobility roadmap, MAN Truck & Bus is sending a fleet of demo e-buses to customers in five European countries this year. The fleet comprises 15 test vehicles, which will be deployed as part of everyday operations. This system ensures that the batteries are always readily available, regardless of the time of year.
