For a general frame of reference, according to the Alliance for Automotive Innovation , EVs represented 6.28% of all passenger auto sales during the first half of 2022. Some EV-popular states, such as California, District of Columbia, and Washington, have an EV market share of 18.32%, 12.7%, and 10.36%, respectively.
