Colorado start-up Lightning Hybrids will unveil the prototype of its hydraulic hybrid four-seat sports sedan at the Denver Auto Show 1-5 April. The car, the LH4, features a 240 hp (179 kW) drivetrain consisting of a 90 hp (67 kW) proprietary 2-stroke biodiesel and 150 hp (112 kW) hydraulic system. C d on the car is 0.20.

Ford is offering the Auto Start-Stop system on its new non-hybrid 2013 Fusion equipped with a 1.6-liter Auto Start-Stop saves fuel use when the car is standing and running at idle. On average, Auto Start-Stop improves fuel efficiency by about 3.5%. The Ford Auto Start-Stop system includes a 12V battery designed for long.

The Hertz Corporation, which includes the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands, has expanded of its Green Traveler Collection car rental fleet to include the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid ( earlier post ) in select cities across the US. All of the Green Traveler cars have fuel efficiency ratings starting at 33+ highway mpg.
