Starting 1 January 2020, the Volkswagen Group’s Car.Software organization will operate as an independent business unit. As a Group company, the Car.Software organization will centralize the associates and subsidiaries within the Group that develop car software and software for the digital ecosystems.

Audi has implemented a feature on its national Audi websites that will allow a customer to enter his or her Audi’s VIN number to determine whether or not that particular Audi has the software defeat device for emissions testing. The cars affected are Audi models with 1.6‑liter liter or 2.0‑liter liter and 2.0‑liter

The Audi e-gas plant in the city of Werlte in Lower Saxony ( earlier post ) produces CO 2 neutral-fuel (synthetic methane from water, renewable electricity and CO 2 ); it now also contributes toward stabilizing the public power grid. The Audi A3 Sportback g‑tron with 81 kW (110 hp) of power is currently available from dealers.

Audi says its Q4 e-tron compact crossover will enter the luxury EV marketplace in early 2021. It’s the second pure electric vehicle release for the Bavarian automaker, following the Audi e-tron SUV. The Q4 is the first e-tron to use the full MEB which will be the foundation of all Audi EVs and Volkswagen I.D. EVs to come.
