The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released the already widely-discussed (albeit without much detail) “Clean Power Plan” proposal, which mandates a national average 30% cut in greenhouse gas emissions from existing power plants from 2005 levels by 2030. EPA is only proposing goals for states with fossil fuel-fired power plants.

Electrify America will invest in metro-based direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations in 18 metro areas, including these new metro areas in Cycle 2: Atlanta, Baltimore, Honolulu, Las Vegas and Phoenix. The company will make the announcement at the North American Commercial Vehicle show (NACV) in Atlanta, Georgia, at which Eaton will display a suite of technologies. While other technologies can be combined to reduce both CO 2 and NO x emissions, Eaton says that its CDA is the only single technology that can simultaneously reduce both.
