It boasts a range of up to 500 miles, and can charge at 750 kWh—nearly three times the rate of other electric trucks. The Tesla Semi has finally gone into production, and is hauling chips in California.

The partnership and subsequent program started in October of 2021 and, as of August of this year, has completed over 5 million trips, 40 million miles, and been tested in 30 different U.S. Trips completed by Hertz Tesla vehicles in San Francisco and Oakland during the weeks of November 21, 2021, and May 22, 2022, respectively.
