Battery packs from BYD, CATL, and Tesla all reported having 1 million km of usable life. These websites publish a lot of sensational anti-EV articles with attention-grabbing, clickbait-friendly headlines.

Also meeting BYD e6 owner! Started the day with a visit to India’s first owner of the BYD B6 car. The BYD is going to be Jay’s car now. The BYD folks use kWh per 100 km - please spare us guys and move on to wh/km.) With BYD’s proprietary blade cells, it probably is the best car in the country.

BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. The biggest problem with recharging at home - as already alluded to in the article, is that electric cars are mostly marketed as city vehicles. They have several stations already built and plan on thousands more.

The Polestar 2 was Australia’s fourth best-selling EV of 2022 , behind only Tesla’s Model 3 and Model Y , plus the cheapie disruptor BYD Atto 3. Had availability been better, and if Hertz hadn’t snapped up thousands of them globally , Polestar sales would have been far higher than the 1524 shifted last year.

A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. Going from 12MPG to 15.8MPG saves more gas than going from 50MPG to 500MPG.
