According to a recent report from Navigant Research, total sales of LDVs are expected to total more than 2.1 Navigant forecasts global annual LDV sales to grow from 88.8 Global market forecasts for sales and the number of vehicles in use, segmented by country, drivetrain, and primary fuel, extend through 2035.

Tengzhong intends to purchase HUMMER through an investment entity, in which it will hold an 80% stake. Once the transaction is complete, HUMMER will become the first automaker to offer an alternative fuel powertrain in every model, with the addition of E85 FlexFuel capability in the 2010 H3 and H3T.

The San Diego Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) rolled out its new fleet of 77 buses fueled by propane autogas. The alternatively fueled buses will help the agency reduce its operating costs, and will reduce emissions by 2 million pounds per year. MTS purchased 31 minibuses and 46 paratransit buses fueled by propane.
