AT&T has deployed its 4,000 th alternative-fuel vehicle (AFV) in its US corporate fleet. The vehicles are part of AT&T’s planned 10-year initiative to invest up to $565 million to replace approximately 15,000 fleet vehicles with alternative fuel models through 2018.

The US Department of Energy (DOE’s) Argonne National Laboratory is releasing an updated version of its AFLEET tool to reflect the latest advances in alternative fuels and advanced vehicle technologies and updated emissions data. There really isn’t a tool out there to look at alternative fuels and advanced vehicles in this way.

The project was announced at the 2017 Chicago Auto Show. There is an electric-drive powertrain to fit anyone’s driving needs.

Through the Chicago-Area EV Infrastructure Project, 26 fast-chargers have been installed, with 73 total fast-chargers planned. The installations, managed by 350Green, were performed by Chicago-based JNS Power & Control Systems. Before plugging in to one of the Tollway’s fast-chargers, drivers must purchase a payment card from 350Green.

UPS plans to build an additional six compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations and add 390 new CNG tractors and terminal trucks and 50 liquefied natural gas (LNG) vehicles to its alternative fuel and advanced technology fleet.
