The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy (DMME) and Virginia Clean Cities (VCC) at James Madison University (JMU) are requesting proposals from fleets in the southeastern US interested in converting eligible gasoline vehicles to run on propane autogas. All eligible public or private fleet operations are welcome to apply.

Virginia Clean Cities announced that 1,000 vehicles have been successfully converted to run on propane autogas through the Southeast Propane Autogas Development Program (SPADP). The Program is supported by funding from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and the US Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of $26 million in grant funding to establish clean diesel projects aimed at reducing emissions from the US’ existing fleet of diesel engines. California Air Resources Board (CARB)-verified retrofit technologies or certified engine configurations.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced the availability of grant funding to implement projects which reduce emissions from the nation’s existing fleet of older diesel engines. Under this competition, EPA anticipates awarding between 40 and 70 assistance agreements. Applicants may apply until 16 March 2021.
