At IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich, Porsche is presenting the Mission R concept electric car that combines advanced technologies and sustainable materials, such as natural fibre-reinforced plastics, with a passion for racing. The Mission R is on a par with the performance level of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

Porsche has increased its stake in technology and sports car company Rimac Automobili to 15.5%. In June 2018, the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer purchased a 10% stake in Rimac. Porsche is now strengthening the established partnership. Porsche has been supporting Rimac and its positive development for a year now.

At the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, Porsche presented the Mission E Cross Turismo, a concept study of an electrically-powered “Cross-Utility Vehicle.” The road-ready Mission E Cross Turismo is a continuation of the Mission E study that Porsche presented at the Frankfurt International Motor Show (IAA) in 2015. Porsche AG has taken a 10% stake in the technology and electric sports car company Rimac Automobili. As part of its electrification efforts, Porsche is seeking a development partnership with the young company. Rimac recently presented the latest version of its electric hypercar, the “C Two”, at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2018.

Porsche is expanding its hybrid range by adding a powerful plug-in hybrid to the Panamera Sport Turismo model line. Porsche says that the design, including a large tailgate, low loading edge, increased luggage compartment volume and seating for five means that the new flagship of the model line offers a high degree of “everyday practicality”.

Porsche is introducing the new 680-hp Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid ( earlier post )—the first hybrid flagship for one of its model lines—at the New York International Auto Show this week. The 2018 Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid is expected to reach US dealers by the end of 2017. Combining the 4.0-liter inch longer wheelbase.
