Volvo Car Group, including its strategic affiliates Lynk & Co and Polestar, produce vehicles based on the Compact Modular Architecture (CMA) platform, introduced in 2017. The platform made its debut in 2017 with the popular Volvo XC40. Since the CMA-based XC40 was introduced in 2017, 302,856 units have sold.

Audi is re-introducing a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) to its Australian line-up from mid-2023 in the form of the Q5 55 TFSI e luxury medium SUV. Top speed is 239km/h as a PHEV, or 135km/h as an EV. This is the third PHEV to be sold by Audi in Australia following on from the 2015-16 A3 e-tron and Q7 e-tron in 2017-18.

A Premium Small SUV with Handling Like a Sports Wagon. The all-new 2022 Genesis GV70 slots in just below the larger GV80 SUV, both of which will be joined soon by the all-electric GV60. Clean Fleet Report would not be surprised if Genesis has even more SUVs on the drawing board, with most of them being hybrids, plug-in hybrids or EVs.

Volvo Cars announced its ambition that from 2025, at least 25% of the plastics used in every newly launched Volvo car will be made from recycled material. Used car seats from old Volvo cars were used to create the sound-absorbing material under the car hood. The seats also use PET fibres from plastic bottles.
