As part of the program, Toyota will begin driving and refueling demonstration tests of the Mirai fuel cell vehicle (FCV) in the UAE from May 2017. The agreement was announced at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), which was held at the UAE capital of Abu Dhabi.

The 2018 Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) will arrive in dealerships in December 2017 with an MSRP of $34,595. Remote Climate Control: cooling, heating and defrosting can be controlled remotely. Mitsubishi is bringing the plug-in hybrid crossover Outlander (the best-selling PHEV in Europe) to the US.

The full proposal will be outlined in the President’s FY2015 Budget Request to Congress. DOT will prioritize applications for capital projects that better connect people to jobs, training and other opportunities, promote neighborhood redevelopment and reconnect neighborhoods divided by physical barriers, such as highways and railroads.

ICCT supports the ARB staff proposal to retain, without significantly changing, the existing requirements through 2017. The ARB should encourage the development of programs that allow for placement of electric vehicles in community centers or other facilities in low-income neighborhoods to provide some access to these emerging technologies.
