Ford Transit passenger van sales up 30% through June; outselling minvans

Ford reports that sales of its full-size Transit passenger vans are up 30% year-on-year through June, partly driven by growing numbers of large families are turning to the Transit instead of minivans. According to Ford, Transit vans outsold every other van in the United States over the first half of 2016, including minivans.

Consumer Reports: Tesla and other domestic brands take big steps backwards in reliability rankings

The 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz electric minivan has been coming to North America for a long, long time. The concept for an all-EV reboot of the classic Type 2 Microbus appeared in 2016 and was confirmed for production in August 2017. Ford, Hyundai, Kia, and GM will all launch vehicles into that segment over the next couple of years.
