Total alternative fuel vehicle reg in Europe up 17.4% in Q2 2015, EVs up 53%; EVs up 78.4% for H1

In the second quarter of 2015, total alternative fuel vehicle registrations in the EU increased (+17.4%), totalling 143,595, according to figures from the ACEA. Among the EFTA countries, demand was primarily driven by Norway (+74.1%), with 11,614 vehicles registered, 77% of which electrically powered. H1 2015 sales.

In contrast, it was the worst year for registrations in Switzerland since 2010, the UK since 2013, and Norway since 2014. The majority of vehicles registered in 2018 were powered by gasoline engines, with the fuel type making up 57% of all registrations. In total, 5.4 million registrations—a volume increase of 17%.
