The recall of Toyota’s Prius is causing some observers to question whether the prospects for the entire hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) and electric vehicle (EV) markets are fundamentally hurt. This immediate problem affecting the 2010 Prius relates to software that manages the regenerative and conventional braking system.

If all goes as planned, VW is hoping to introduce the technology on vehicles by 2010, that magical year when plug-in electric vehicles being promised by multiple automakers are supposed to hit the world's roads. No word yet on how many of these four cars will actually hit the market in 2010.

It's the second county seat of government to be visited (with possibly a repeat performance in January 2010). just pondering another Plug-in Hybrid EV EVdventure of sorts per the new 2010 Prius PHEV press release. For longer distances, the Prius PHV reverts to “hybrid mode” and operates like a regular Prius.
