The first Australian Government to announce a plan for a carbon price was John Howard’s back in 2007. However, where applicable, an equivalent carbon price will be applied through changes in fuel tax credits or excise. Economists and experts agree that the best way is to make polluters pay by putting a price on carbon.

California ARB adds another $6M to Clean Vehicle Rebate Program

This can be combined with an up to $7,500 clean vehicle federal tax credit and various other regional incentives. The Clean Vehicle Rebate Project is made possible by the 2007 law known as Assembly Bill 118. Under the rebate program, individuals, nonprofits, government entities and businesses can get up to a $2,500 state rebate.
